International Alliance to Fight Breast Cancer
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Above and Beyond Electric of
Bartlett has joined forces with plumbers, electricians and HVAC service providers on an international level to fight breast cancer.
Above and Beyond Electric Company is a member of the Nexstar®, Inc., an international best practices organization, focused on providing training and support to companies offering superior plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical services. Nexstar members are orchestrating this effort with a commitment to community service and desire to help combat this devastating disease.
Nathan Harmeier, owner of Above and Beyond Electric is pleased to have the opportunity to support this worthy cause on a large scale. “I’m pleased to donate 10% of our fee now through the end of October to local organizations committed to research, awareness and education,” saysHarmeier.

Honk for Breast Cancer!
The facts are daunting. In the United States, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and a woman dies of breast cancer every 13 minutes. But there is hope. There are about 2.5 million breast cancer survivors alive in the U.S. today, the largest group of cancer survivors in the country. The increase in survival can be attributed to early detection through mammography and improved treatment.
Here at Above and Beyond, we want to make the news even better. We are holding some special events in October to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.
We are each donating 10 percent of net profits through the end of October to local organizations committed to research, awareness and education.
In addition, on Friday, October 15th beginning at 8 a.m., our entire staff will be on the corner of Poplar and W Massey in front of Kirby Woods Baptist Church. We will be waving and displaying a smile-generating Good Morning banner to great motorists.
We will donate $1 for each car that honks, so be sure to come by and see us and lay on that horn! At the end of 30 minutes, we will tally our honks and make a donation for breast cancer.
